I have noticed that quite a few of the three toed tracks discovered in the Gulf Coast area resemble alligator tracks with the gator's forearm impressed behind it, does anyone have any pictures of alligator tracks that could be used to compare with, would really need to be where a gator layed down on it's belly with it's front arms on the ground to the front, but any pictures would be helpful.

Click to view attachmentHere's a hind foot.
The front feet are more hand-like with 5 fingers, but only 3 have claws.
These could be the cause of some of the "reptiloid" reports, or whatever some of the Texas and Lousiana folks call these things.

Thanks Desertyeti,
That is pretty close to what I wanted to see, if the claws left any indention on the ground, they could be lost under weeds or grass and the average person would believe they might have a three-toed bigfoot track IMO.

I agree that in some cases the people might be seeing gator or other animal tracks and saying they might be Bigfoot tracks. But in some cases people find them tracks where no gator could live. For example, I know of one case of 3 toed tracks being found in Indiana. Where it was found (I know and have hunted the area well) no gator could live. It was along a small stream with no homes for miles any where along it.
But places where gators do live like here in Florida I do believe that it could and has happened. I would be willing to bet that if you asked a common person any where gators live that 9 out of 10 have no clue what a gator track would look like. I know most of the people I know around here have no clue. But some of them might see a gator every day as they are all over the place now days.

Perhaps mysterious three-toed tracks are made by 15 foot tall penguins:

The gator tracks I've seen also had a tail swish involved. If the ground is soft enough for a track, that heavy tail isn't going to disappear.

Here is a cast from a gator track (top photo) and one that is claimed to be from the honey island swamp monster which is a three toed cryptid creature (bottom).

Don't know why the photos wouldn't link, so let's try this again.
