Just got back from Sasquatch mecca; Willow Ck, Bluff Ck, Happy Camp area of NorCal. After dodging holiday traffic on the incredibly windy road between Redding and Willow Ck, I paid a visit to the BF museum in Willow CK...Talked to the very nice lady there and bought a copy of Bindernagel's book...I thumbed thru the guest book where lots of people claim that "They Believe" or have seen one...One recent entry from a visitor claimed that they had been harrassed by a branch breaking, shrieking something at the Tish Tang campground just north of Willow Ck...Some of you going to the symposium might wanna camp there....I headed up the road towards Orleans, Sommes Bar and Happy Camp, those tiny towns so prominent in BF lore..I set up camp at Ne Nuck? campground where Bluff Ck flows into the Klamath and spent the evening sipping scotch, swatting mosquitos and reading Bindernagel....Next morning I was up early heading North when it happened...I rounded a curve and there it was in the middle of the road, Big and Hairy...........a bear...cinnamon colored...I pulled into a cafe in Happy Camp, walked thru the door.....and into a BF exhibit; track casts, news storys of local sightings etc...The owner asked if I was interested in "that stuff". He pointed to a yellowed newspaper clipping about BF tracks which featured a photo of a guy holding a large BF track cast...He then pointed to a fellow sipping coffee there in the cafe.....same person....The cafe owner then said that he'd had two different groups of people come into his place recently, and describe a white BF which they had encountered a few days apart, just south of Happy Camp on opposite sides of a ridge....Maybe BF's getting ready for the symposium being held in his honor icon_mrgreen.gif .....

White Bigfoots are indeed special. There have even been a few sightings or white and cream-colored furballs here in Texas. PGH, I envy you for getting to see all you did, even the cinnamon bear. That's almost as good as a BF sighting. Thanks for letting us know about your trip. cool.gif biggrin.gif

bump seems applicable. Where is the display? You mentioned a cafe, name of it ??

Re: white bf

In my opinion, the color may be associated with their age. Just as we humans get silvery and white with advanced age, so too might bf.

I have a way to test that theory too. Once Robin Williams hits oh, say 70, strip him naked icon_stressed.gif and see what color he looks. I'll betcha his body hair is gonna be white. (ummm, unless he's like Ronald Reagan...) dry.gif

It doesn?t have to happen with advanced age. Since I was 23 (I?m 34 now) my hair has been turning silver. I have a lot of chest hair and it is 50% silver. Last month I decided to grow a beard and guess what? Yep, half of it came out silver. So maybe these white sas?s are ones that could have started the silver back a little early in life.

...As for the "Display"...It's in Happy Camp, not Willow Creek...Happy Camp is much smaller then Willow CK and The cafe with the display is located in an ugly grey building in the center of town...Don't recall the name but if you ask around, I'm sure someone will point you towards it...There can't be more then a couple of cafes in Happy Camp...As for me., I'm off on a three day float trip,( with a bunch of non-believers) down the Rogue....Maybe we'll see the "Big Guy"..

Not a recent sighting (just recently reported), but I thought it was interesting:
