I've never taken an interest in this area before, but is anyone familiar with any reports that I can read on what would appear to be young small juvenile b/f's? Posted links would be appreciated especially for reports in the southern and southwestern states.

I know this is not southern but I think it is still an interesting report.

Excellent, thanks Fulltimer and Tirade.
I shouldn't of limited the area of interest, I just tried to edit my post but too much time has lapsed to change it soo any reports in any areas would be appreciated.

Painthorse there was a recent sighting, October 2005, near here that had been reported to Linda Godfrey, due to her book about the Wisconsin Werewolf. And once again, I do not believe in werewolves (at least not yet!) but think what's being reported is probably a misidentified bigfoot, or regional variation. However, what was reported did not fit the general description that most have attributed to the Wisconsin Werewolf. This creature was hair covered, bipedal, and considerably shorter than what bigfoot has been reported to be. The witness claimed it looked to them like what they would imagine a caveman to look like. This was a daytime sighting.

SIGHTINGS UPDATE OCTOBER 2005: Little Bigfoot?

Most recent sighting happened in early October, 2005, in Bloomfield Township near Pell Lake, only a few miles from the Illinois border, in broad daylight. A man saw what he described as almost a "caveman" looking creature, covered with fur from head to toe, a more apelike face than doglike. It stood about fifty feet from the road and turned its head to watch him walk by. Leg joints appeared more hominoid than doglike, so I doubt this was the Manwolf. It sounds very similar to other reports I've had from around LaGrange, Rome and Honey Creek of a creature with very definite Bigfoot characteristics, but smaller stature than the seven to eight foot tall creatures reported farther north and on the West Coast.

From her orginal site at http://www.cnb-scene.com/brayupdate.html

It could have been in an e-mail exchange, but it seems she mentioned the estimated height was around 5 1/2 feet. I would think this would be a juvenile, if in fact it is a legitimate report. Location is Southeastern Wisconsin on this one.

Thanks Moregon. I noticed in that article that the witness said "it turned it's head" which leads me to believe it had a neck. In the report that Fulltimer provided a link to, it stated the animal had a short neck and round oval head. In the article that Tirade posted a link to, it stated no neck and pointed head.

I know there are no solid answers, we can only speculate, but what are people's opinions on necks vs no necks and round oval heads vs pointed heads on these young, what appear to be juvenile bigfoot. I can only guess that as these things mature they "grow into themselves". They may lose the neck as the hormones kick in and they become more muscular and bulk out. Possibly the same with the head shapes, oval vs pointed. Possibly the males are the ones who get the pointy crests and the females remain oval.

I recall all the reports I have read about the adults including a report I took from a witness state that there was no neck, the head appeared to be resting on the shoulders.

Thoughts, guesses anyone?
