Following the recent poll, we are going to have a weekly chat every Saturday at 8pm Central time.
Theme for 25th March 2006 will be "Equipment"
Discuss what equipment you use in the field, where you get them, how much you pay, what you would like, what you have seen others used, what you would like developed - your perfect tool.
What sucess have you had with equipment - what have you found too bulky etc.
If Saturday isn't good for you, then you should have registered your vote here:

How about this for tonight's theme?
'Dealing with hoax videos and pictures' ?
In light of Richard Sade's little scam, let alone half a dozen other fake pictures, how should we best deal with them?

Don't worry - there will be another scheduled chat this Saturday - any suggestions for a theme would be very welcome.

Just a reminder about Saturday's chat this week - LAL suggested the topic of 'Dermal Ridges' - I'd like to hold off on that for a few weeks if we can.
So, unless anyone has any better ideas, given the most recent BFRO 'report' discussed here, I'd like to suggest 'Where and How do Sasquatch sleep? - a speculation'.
Discussion of what we know about so-called nests and bedding areas, what we think we know, and what we would like to know.
Do they sleep alone, or in groups? in caves, in trees, in nests - where?
Do the sleep during the day, or during the night?
And while you are chatting, bear in mind that it is 4am where I live, so I will probably be sleeping myself.

Are we going to have a "special guest" this week? Do we get to know who it is?
Paul1968UK
Apr 13 2006, 04:41 AM
I'm still working on that - stay tuned

Okay
The theme of tonight's chat will be 'PGF timeline and other problems' - a discussion of problems with the whole timeline of the film shooting, film processing etc. - pretty much anything related to the mechanics of the film.
We should have a special guest this week - Daniel Perez has agreed to take part in a Questions and Answers session on this topic, however he may not get to chat until 7pm his time (9pm central time).
Daniel is still something of a novice when it comes to computers - we haven't had a chance to check that he has Java etc. installed on his computer, so, if for any reason Daniel does not make tonight's chat, we will bring him back next week.
The rules of this, and all future Q&A sessions are this.
We are very concerned about the guest getting bombarded with dozens of questions at a time, so please send your questions to whoever is moderating the chat - this can be done privately in chat.
The moderator will then ask the guest your questions in a methodical and timely manner.
We will make a transcript of all Q&A sessions and post it to the forum, so please watch your language. We will edit these a little, so don't worry too much about talking drivel :popcorn2:
If you can't make chat, but have a question you would like to ask the guest, please PM them to Jerry (Tugboatwa) in advance.
Lets give this a try - if it is sucessful, we will try to get some more guests lined up for future sessions.

I have neglected the themed chat for a while - partly, because I'm always asleep during the chat session
Anyway, I was doing some thinking, and the theme for this Saturday's chat should be "
Is the Internet harming Bigfoot research?"
With that in mind, I have started this thread:
http://www.bigfootforums.com/index.php?showtopic=15969 to allow the chat to spill over into the forum.
The creation of a spill over thread is an experiment - it isn't meant to replace the chat, but to allow people who can't make the chat session this Saturday to take part in the conversation, and to allow for the conversation to continue after the thread.
It might work, it might not - who knows?
One word of warning - I *might* post a transcript of Saturday's chat session - albeit an edited one to remove all the unecessary bits to the thread. I say I might - if anyone has any objections, please let me know.

We have the right to remain silent. Anything we say might be used against us on the forum. We have a right to a Counselor, if we cannot afford a Counselor, the forum will provide Counselor for us.
Or something like that.

There is a link to Chat in the top right hand corner of every BFF web page.
There is a themed chat every Saturday at 8pm (Central Time)
If you are bored during the week, and want to chat, post a message in the 'In the Chat Room' thread, and someone will probably join you before too long.

Sorry about that bigfootmorf - if you want to organise a weekly chat, then please feel free to do so - PM those you want to chat to, post an announcement here and turn up - so will others, but please don't criticise (OR SHOUT) about no-one being in chat - we do our best.
I notice that you still haven't taken my advice and added your MSN or Yahoo chat contact details to your profile.
I'd organise the weekly chat myself, but I live in a different time zone, and kinda like to sleep.

Paul, I didnt mean to criticize the chatroom,i was just dissapointed because there is alot of cool people on here to talk to. As for the YAHOO MESS.,i dont really care for it(had it before) and I dont like the toolbars, etc that have to be downloaded.
Paul1968UK
Sep 23 2007, 08:52 AM
You don't have to download any toolbars - just pay attention to what you are doing when you install it - if you blindly agree to everything, then yes, you will get toolbars

The "Search For Bigfoot" forum has a fairly 'regular' chat on Saturday nights, starting around 21:00 {9:00 PM} Eastern Time.
http://www.searchforbigfoot.org/You have to be a member there to join.
