OK I watched the video....holy crap & yikes! Darryl did the breathing sound we heard.... now multiply that sound he imitated by a thousand and he nailed it. My face is flushed and hands are sweaty as I type this. Now I'm rethinking if I want to go into the woods and hear it again!!
It's been 30 yrs, I'm not sure if my heart could take it. I need to go take a walk or something. Later.....

Anyone know how to find that tounge-in-cheek BF video that was around a year ago? It had a man in the foreground explaining how there is no BF while a BF (man in costume) danced around in background - even taking the time to drop a load, wipe his butt, and bury the evidence. That was funny!

I think they were playing music from "Deliverence" at the end. To bad they had the shape shift nut in there.

Nice. I liked it as well. And yes, the shape shifter lady was a bit much, but added some spice. The re-telling of that encounter on the mountainside that left that dude mentally deranged was sorta boo-scary.

I'm not quite sure what they meant when they said Daryl Owen was left mentally unstable. They made it sound like he was too mentally unstable to give an interview for their documentary. But I took it more like it made him mentally unstable at the time of the encounter, mostly because he did give an interview for the A&E documentary back in the 90's and appeared fine. It was great to see Scott retelling the events...can't wait to get the Squatching DVD this week!!!

I think that's a very worthy little 'film'. Student film type thang I assume?! I hardn't priorly seen video of Scott Herriot tell his story. It is a pretty cool story and he tells it great. Gotta love the bit when one of the 'Searchers™' was telling of his Squatchin' hopes and the other is only hoping he won't get shot! Tell me it was a delibertate irony they went Squatchin' on the first day of regular hunting season. Out of all the days in a year, disregarding weather factors, there is probably no single worse day in the entire year fit for looking for some 'mythical man-beast monster apeman gorillastein-ish-yet-not thang'. Or maybe not!

I noticed that lady was standing in front of the Delta Community Action van. Delta is just across the bridge from me... hmmmmm

I work for Community Action Agency, but a different group (not Delta).

Varg, the squatchin dvd is hilarious. I have watched it over and over again. I am a huge Yetifan fan... fan of Yetifan... whatever LOL. Scott, do you have a fan club? :new_lmaosmiley:

I don't think they were able to get ahold of Daryl. When I was shooting "Squatching" in '02, I did several Internet searches and was unable to locate him...getting two "return to sender" letters sent to two different addresses in the Sacramento area (the last known area I knew Daryl had lived). I think the director was basing his text opinion in the film on my opinion that Daryl, indeed, got pretty shook up about what happened in the sense that after talking, after the fact, to some local Hoopa Native Americans who believed that seeing one was an indicator of bad things to come, and coupling that with the fact that his brother, in a fit of rage I believe it was a few months after the sighting, had killed their mother, he was then distressed that it wasn't a good thing that had happened. His wife divorced him a relatively short time following the sighting apparently due, at least in part, to his growing obsession with the phenomenon. No idea where he is now.

By the way, I thought the guy who did "Into the Woods" did a pretty damn good job.

Not than I'm aware of...thankfully.

By the way...I no longer run the www.squatching.com site. I only sell "Squatching" and "Journey Toward Squatchdom" on one DVD at Amazon at the ungodly low price of $19.99. The url is....

That was cool, and well done.
But I'm left wondering why I deny myself my powers of shape-shifting, and if I stop denying them, can I start then?

Wow, that's horrible! It's interesting how some native americans consider seeing bigfoot bad luck while others consider it good luck. I thought the documentary was also very well done. When I saw A&E's doc on your encounter they made it seem like you and Daryl just randomly went out into the woods and came across something strange. So it was good to hear further descriptions from you and also get a better look at the area smile.gif

Yes the do, and many tribes believe that all the recent sightings are a VERY bad sign that something horrible is coming to humanity as a whole....
clownboy
WOW...that was very impressive. Short and sweet kept it engaging as well. My only question is, why did the guy in the striped shirt seemed to be imitating Sasquatch taking a dump? :wtf:
