Bigfoot scares away seekers?

Where is scientific enthusiasm?
Where are the seekers of the weird and bizarre?
Where is reality television?
Not out there looking for Bigfoot, that’s for sure.
The Malaysian Forestry Department has had no takers - zero, zip, nada - for its offer to allow people into the protected Endau Rompin park to search for Bigfoot.
Interest was ignited last fall when fish-farm workers reported seeing three giant human-like creatures and one giant footprint in the park.
Park officials responded to the site, but found no evidence of any such creature.
But, then, more sightings were reported by native villagers.
The government decided to allow outsiders into the park to check it out.
Anticipating a Bigfoot stampede, they printed up 500 applications. Not a single one was returned, a newspaper reports.
Tourism officials said they planned to use the interest in Bigfoot to draw tourists to Malaysia.
Maybe they’ll have better luck with the proposed free-trade deal between Malaysia and the United States.
