This may have absolutely NO relevance to BF, but I found it interesting, considering the repeated discussions of Patty's "compliant gait", etc... I can't get the link to post for some reason (GRRRRR) but the Discovery Channel site has an article discussing the assertion by some scientists that certain varieties of human ancestors "walked funny". *S* There is a lot more to it than that, and I have to confess that, after reading the article, I am still not entirely clear on what the proposed gait would look like (the reference to a "knock kneed" approach does NOT sound "Patty like"), but there IS an intriguing reference to the knee being bent at a point in the stride where ours staightens out.

So again, probably not relevant, but with all the "gait" talk surrounding Patty, this caught my eye. I will see if I can post the link later...
