poor boy
Creature of unknown origin shot back in the 1800s in Telfair County, Ga. by the Ocmulgee River. The shooter smoked the head in the smokehouse and preserved it. It is a family hierloom and has been passed down from generation to generation. Thought it was interesting and had not seen it before , What do you think...

To be honest, it looks like something put together from parts of various animals.

My main reason for saying it is because it looks to me like there is not a skull underneath the flesh that supports the geometry of the face. It kinda looks like a human jaw/teeth attached to a 'bowling ball' with skin/fur wrapped around it.

Its the back end of a deer with some modifications.

I agree. It looks like parts... yuk.gif

The eyes are not smoked or otherwise preserved; they are glass or plastic. This is the creation of a taxidermist. Creepy photo though, thanks for posting it.

I also think it's a taxidermist work of "art", sorta like a "jackalope" or "Alaskan Fur Fish".

Yep, looks like there may have been some kind of smoking going on.
