squatchworks- i lived in that area for 12 yrs(now at Ft. Lewis). And unfortunately I dont know of any or much going on there, but of course I could be wrong. My father in law as well as brother in law have spent a substantial amount of time up there hunting, they have never said anything to me. But, once again that dosent mean anything. Good luck, I think the Blue Mnts. is an area of GREAT interest..

I live in Kirkland, WA but a friend and I were in Leavenworth about a month ago for several weeks. We didn't see any bigfeet (other than the "Welcome to the Cascade Mountains and Bigfoot Park" and "Bigfoot crossing .4 miles" signs) but then again we were just there to play in the snow...

I live in the Yakima valley. Not too far away from Wenatchee. There is some very beautiful country up that way. Plus you can't go wrong with Leavenworth if you like Beer.

From near Yakima and have looked around the Wenatchee/Leavenworth area. Not much in the big and hairy catagory. BFRO does not have many entrys. Oregonbigfoot has a few listings in the Chelan County area. Which is a bit strange since it is a lot like Yakima County which seems to have more sightings. Maybe it will take someone to shake the unreported sightings out of the landscape.
Brian, is there going to be someone filling your shoes in the Walla Walla/Blue Mountain research area?

I have been trying to shake some witnesses out of the trees for some time aroun Yakima County. I do keep busy with the sightings on the Yakama Reservation. Have done some work around the Goat Rocks and around the north side of Mt. Adams.
I know of one person in the Wenatchee area that has been keeping busy there. Most of the time he travels towards the west side for sightings.

With five of us from Yakima and Benton countys, Washington State. It looks like time for us to form our own organization (LOL/smile). But it would be great for some of us from the Central Washington area to get together sometime and compare storys. PM me if interested and we'll see if we can get something organized.

When I first mentioned a get to gether of bigfooters in Central Washington, it was just off the cuff. Thinging more on it, I'm giving thought to an evening in a private room at a pizza place. Where we can order off the menu. Probibly in Sunnyside, as that woould be mid way between Yakima and the Tri-Cities. I need the people from Central Washington to get hold of me so we can get a handle on day, date and how many people we will have so we can get a proper sized room.
Washingtonape, you need some more posts to become a full member, making you elligible to use the PM function to contact people. So get busy (smile)

I grew up near Wenatchee and have spent some time in and around Leavenworth. I'm on the west side right now, living in east King county. There have been some good reports around Stevens Pass and up Entiat Valley. And thereis an old story about a squatch stealing a hog near Leavenworth.
Good luck!

Beautiful town Leavenworth. I proposed to my wife there.
I’m not aware of any reports around Leavenworth itself, but travel west on highway 2 from there and you will be traveling through excellent Bigfoot country as you descend down the western slops of the Cascades. BFRO is loaded with reports that are not far from this stretch of highway, as far west as the town of Index. Mostly late night screams and tracks. I usually do my searching in Skamania county, but this year I may be heading up to the highway 2 area myself, as soon as the back roads are snow free. There is some abandoned railroad access roads which I here are excellent for setting up camp.
Good luck. Do stop in Leavenworth regardless. See the town and treat your self to their beer and bratz.

I would think Leavenworth would be to high in elevation and to much snow this time of the year. IMHO the BF work their way down in winter to follow the deer and elk. Then back up in the spring. I hit the Index area pretty often but so far nothing. Winter activity always seems down. Check the reports on the BFRO not much happens in the winter. What are the collective thoughts here do they go into a deep sleep in the winter or are there really not that many of the critters?

If anyone wants to get together for a first face to face, I'm game. phone is 509 588-5657.
I'm working graves right now, but its two days on two days off. Give a call and we can discuss date, time and location. Figure if we can start meeting in pairs, we can work towards a group get together.

I see that you found yourself.
Here's a likely area, an area locals apparently avoid at night because of aggressive BF:.....Strobach springs on Divide Ridge, above Rimrock Lake west of Yakima.....( Wash Atlas & gazetter, p49, D8, lower right)..Read these reports & decide wheather you want to camp up there at night......
something ain't right up here tonight..........

I was up at Leavenworth last fall for some beer and debachory and was told by the lady at the front desk of the hotel that we stayed in that there was a recent sighting in the hills above the town. It supposobly was in the local paper. I have heard of sightings in that area on and off.
Sorry for the spelling, Super Bowl hangover is a drag. :new_tiredsmiley:
