The production company, Authentic TV, has a little blurb about it on their site:
"For centuries, legends of hairy, ape-like beasts have terrified remote regions around the globe. From California's Pacific Northwest to the gator-infested swamps of the Everglades and the dense forests of eastern Texas, we're hot on the trail...of bigfoot..."
The show should feature Dr. Henner Fahrenbach, Craig Woolheater, Jimmy Chilcutt, and a TBRC Field Investigator team.
Having said all that, you never know who or what will end up on the editing room floor, and who or what will end up on the TV screen.

The crew interviewed Dr. Fahrenbach in Oregon, visited the Willow Creek/Bluff Creek area, filmed with the TBRC during
this research operation, filmed in Jefferson, TX, went on a tour of Caddo Lake and then went on to Florida and filmed with David Shealy.

It was wonderful!!! I think besides the parts about the Skunk Ape, it showed Bigfoot researchers in a positive light.

I thought it was pretty good. That being said I wished they could have shown more of your expedition.
If I remember from reading you guys account of the trip the travel channel people were there when sounds were heard etc, it seemed like they should have shown more of the TBRC expedition instead of talking about shealy and other things that they could have left out.

I saw this when it first ran a while ago, and I wasn't that impressed. I think 'Giganto' on the HC handled the subject with a little more respect- even while it was shamelessly dropping King Kong's name.
Shealy didn't exactly win me over, and throwing in the phrase "once and for all" twice is like a cliché on top of a faux pas. However, the worst offender has to be the use of on obvious Chewbacca suit! Throwing in a gratuitous guy in a gorilla suit seems to be somekinda standard for these shows, but did they have to go with a wookiee? Did they not realize how many people had seen StarWars over the past 25 years and might recognize him?!

Oh! Something else that confused me- I think the voiceover said gorilla recordings were blasted during the September 2005 expedition in Texas, but the calls they broadcast sounded more like the classic howls recorded in Ohio, and I don't recall reading anything about gorilla calls being used in the report at the TBRC...

You're right. I have no idea where the writers got the notion that those were "gorilla vocalizations." We were quite explicit with the field production crew about what recordings we were using; we used the cleaned and digitized version of the "Ohio Howl," and gibbon vocalizations.
The first night's call-blasting elicited
eight response vocalizations. The next night, after the crew had gone, we were confident that we had a sasquatch vocalizing within 50 - 200 yards to the east and southeast of camp; the howls woke us. Later that night, (actually early early the next morning, probably 04:30 - 05:00) we had an extremely loud, bizarre, growling, wheezing animal come just to the edge of camp, behind our tent (we think it was the same sasquatch that had been howling the last two nights).
By the way, it was not a Chewbacca suit, it was a cheap gorilla suit. We saw it in the back of one of their vans and told them to get that thing 100 miles away from us, and that we didn't want any gorilla suits anywhere near us.

To make it simple for those who would like to follow this, would one of our TBRC members be so kind as to link to the report on your site that goes with this Travel Channel program?
Thanks

I was glad to see a BF show on that I hadn't seen yet.
Speaking of the gorilla suit: do these guys set up a perimeter or something when they film this thing or can anyone just walk up and have a "sighting"?

Agreed. I caught it last night for the first time, and it was actually quite entertaining. One complaint though, the output audio of the Texas BF expedition call blasts and return vocalizations were quite faint. Regardless, good show, IMO.
