The conference was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Chester Moore, Jr., is a young man with a great mission and the energy and love of life to carry it out--all life, including cryptids and known wildlife. The "Patty" film was a shock--the researcher had digitalized and refined the film. She had an eye infection evident from discharge from her eye, and scars on her arm from cuts. Also, she had a small, extra breast!!!! What an anomaly! He believes that Patty was one sick Bigfoot and that's why she didn't run--she was old and ill. In the video, he said that she appeared to be panting at times. Poor Patty! And then a reseacher from NW Louisiana has a bunch living right in the woods close to him, even mothers and babies. He and his group want to "harvest" (murder) one, but he says they refuse to shoot females or young, although they've had a chance to. They are going for a male only. He feels that a body is the only way science will accept Biggie's existence. I remained silent, but after he finished, one young lady was very upset and called him some things, trying to appeal to his conscience. He said he feels the only way to ever get protection for them as an endangered species is to kill one and bring in the body. Anyway, Todd Jurasek talked about cryptid reptiles and I disagree with his theory that dinosaurs still exist in Africa, South America and Australia. But he is sure a dedicated, hard-working researcher. Then I got to meet Mr. and Mrs. Smokey Crabtree (of Legend of Boggy Creek fame). They are precious. Rob Prevo was there and sat with me and my sister--what an honor! Jim Chilcutt lectured on dermal ridges in footprint and it seems to me that this evidence alone would prove the existence of our furry friends. Chester lectured on ivorybills. I shot my wad buying gifts for my sister and others. TRBC (Craig Woolheater's group), GBFRO (with Bigfoot Bill) and Rande Trusty were there. I bought a plaster cast copy from him of a BIG FOOT that he had taken near Conroe and also one of Chester's cast copies from the Big Thicket. Rob Prevo said the atmosphere was of a family reunion, and he was right. Long live Bigfoot and those who love him!
It was just totally awesome.
