Isn't that Roger's own foot he's propped up next to a Sas print?

If it is... it sure does have the same bend in the little toe as his 1964 Bluff Creek print.

You don't suppose Roger would stoop to making an enlarged version of his own foot do you?

Funny guy that Roger. :rotflmao:

From what I understand about the anatomy of the foot, the gradual reduction in toe length from the big toe to the pinkie is caused by the wearing of shoes as a person is growing up. If a person never wears shoes, with the exception of the big toe, the other toes should be close to the same length. Not the exact same length, but closer in length than what we shoe-wearers would consider "normal". Shoes hinder the normal growth of the foot and toes just like the old Chinese custom of foot-binding.

So the way I see it, if a footprint or cast looks like an oversized human foot with the "normal", gradual sloping of the toes, then it is probably a fake. That doesn't mean the person presenting the cast is the hoaxer, maybe they happened to find prints that were faked by someone else.

Edited to add:

Anyone know a good podiatrist? A professional opinion about this would be helpful.

As I understand it, shoes don't limit the length of the toes, rather the degree of curvature and compaction of them. Still, some ape toes curve inwards as well.

I remember my father having toes that curled inwards because he grew up wearing shoes that were too tight fitting. This was the case for many kids in my father's generation who were poor or less well off.

Regarding the comparison between Roger Patterson's footprint and the Bluff Creek Sasquatch print, I don't see any real similarities. Roger's 2nd toe appears to extend beyond the top of his 1st (big) toe unlike that of the Sasquatch print.

No, but it could be his Achilles heel, if shown to be so. :blacknblue:
I really don't know, but the speculation gets pretty amazing sometimes.

I think he just wanted them to meet certain standards.
You know.. Toe the line .. I just think he shouldn't have been so callous about it.

Nope... I don't know if the one on the left is Rogers but it must be from a cowboy. Notice the big toe is bent in. Typical of someone who wears boots all the time. All my family has feet like these. All cowboys...
