Well, sad to say.... having received a report via the web that does seem credible, I and a couple others visited McCormick's Creek State Park about an hour south and west of Indianapolis.

There wasn't really anything tangible to find there, nor did we really expect to. Saturday's weather was incredible; in the 60's, sunny and wonderful. By the evening, rain and high winds moved in, by midnight scattered thundershowers came thru... by the morning, it was chilly and damp.

Nothing moved thru that night, at least not near where we were. Hopefully, if something is still around, it'll scare the crap outta' someone else and we'll hear about it.

Until THEN.... here's a few random photos with brief descriptions.

The White River borders part of the north and then flows down the west side of the state park.

And, last but not least...

This little guy was still out and about, even for being Nov. 12th, 2005.

I thought it looked like a garder snake. I hope it was.

By the way, I HATE snakes.... even little ones. He was probably about 14 to 16" long.

Guy,
If I may ask, what were the details of the report you were investigating?
Thanks

(edited by Moonlite to change "sighting" to "report". You did not say this was a sighting in your original post.)

ACTUALLY Jim, THAT one { http://home.earthlink.net/~bigfoot46555/id41.html } is the one up HERE on Barbee Lake that occured on October 1st, the one we went down there to check out was a sighting that oddly occured on OCT. 1st also, but down IN McCormick's Creek State Park.

For the person who asked about the difference in "report" versus "sighting"....

Yes, it WAS a sighting, made by 3 adults. It's a VERY long and involved story, because this family was staying IN the state park, and over a period of 4 to 5 weeks, there are claims of several sightings, but some difficulty in working thru the various times, various locations compared to the persons also seeming to experience that danged "BOB" syndrom. (Bigfoot On Brain) AFTER a few of these sightings, they began thinking every little occurance down there was somehow Squatch related, so we (3 of us) having talked in person, emailed, I.M. chatted and phone interviewed them are trying to work thru a month worth of activity, and keep it as simple as possible without compromising any integrity.

It's a long story, and hopefully when we can sort out the details and facts, from the opinion and "feelings", we'll try to get a report written up and at least put on my site.

This is one of those "Gotta' take it nice and slow" kind of things. I want to do justice to the sightee's and maintain "credibility" with what is a complicated situation. new_blushsmiley.gif

Thanks for the interest!

That area is not all that far from where I am from. I believe I have been to the park before for some reason but forget why. From what I remember it was a nice place, But it seems that they did not like people going off trails and all there. Other place not far away has much less restrictions then there I believe.

I've been to McCormick's Creek State Park several times, and camped and hiked there several times as well. It is a nice place, and I wouldn't consider it out of the realm of possibility. cool.gif

Hey Bill. It's all been pretty quiet here in Indiana. COLD too.

I may try and get out on Saturday night in the overnight hours to see if anything is out moving.

No new reports, sad to say. I'll let you know if there are!

Thanks.
