As i was watching mythbusters last night I thought hey why not email to myth bust the patterson film. They are the perfect people for it since they have lots of connections with people from the film industry and could probably pull it off. I think the myth would be the film and have them try and debunk it, by means of creating a costume, since Jaime employs artists I couldnt see a better show to have a go at this, plus it would make good tv.

This has been discussed in the past. See

Yes I think I will email them with a request, I think in their tests like they always do would be to have them use what they had in the 60's to make the suit then use what they have now to make the suit.

gnostosis, no offence but a lot of people have thought of this.
I even thought of this and believed I was the smartest guy in the world till I suggested it here and got shot down.
It is a good idea, and one that they have pondered but the producer's decided to not do it I think, if I remember it right. Too many issues I s'pose.

I noticed it quite fine thanks, and yes its cool other people have thought of it, I'm not posting it like its a new idea or anything I just posted to see where everyone is at on it and to just to say its a good idea to send into the mythbusters.

Well after the pig's ear Mythbusters did with JAWS, I don't see them doing the P/G footage any better.
Their JAWS one was ridiculous.

The jaws was pretty well ridiculous, but hey if they are going to spend time on something like that and money then the patterson film certainly wouldnt be too far off. I wouldnt say they would do bad for the costume design, look at what Jaime does for a living.

Hmmmmm, yeah but if they made a pig's ear of the P/G footage like they did with JAWS and made obvious mistakes and left out some crucial points then it could well end up (falsely) damaging the P/G footage to those people watching and we wouldn't want that.

Heh Heh. Well it's not a cardinal sin to bring up an old idea is it

Even searching for the subject and posting a new thread linking to the old one is good sometimes. I for one missed the old thread(s) on this and seeing it for teh first time I think it's a great idea (even if it's been batted around before).
I even liked what they did on Jaws

Who knows if they get enough emails just maybe they would do something about it.

I dunno if anyone out there really takes the Mythbusters that seriously: it is sort of like watching the grownup version of two kids playing with the chemistry set they got for Christmas. Bad science often makes for good television!

Hey good luck!! I personally tried several times, even created some threads about it on their forum and the general concensus of most of the people in that forum was that Bigfoot was something in the paranormal area and Mythbusters don't do paranormal, and also many believed that the P/G film was already proven to be a hoax and it was pointless to recreate it (that is not my personal opinion, I am just reporting what the people on the Mythbuster forum wrote on the P/G threads).
Sure suggest them (Mythbusters) any topic that involves some kind of explosion or pyrotechnics and then they'll support it.

This supports my POV that the impact of supposed hoax-revelations like Wallace's and Heironimus's has been widespread. It's to counteract that impact that I'm continuing to search for material to debunk the Long book.
