In mid-2003 Scott began working on a course concept for cryptozoology to be taught through Pangea Institute in our Virtual Academy. Scott had been working quietly in the cryptids field for over 30 years collecting and analyzing accounts of strange animal encounters and legends about enigmatic creatures from his travels.
In the summer of 2004, Scott approached the Florida Keys Community College with the curriculum for the cryptozoology class. His approach to the subject matter with scientific objectivity and emphasis on the science and not the cryptid animals themselves won the college's approval for the program. It would become the college's first internet delivered course and the first college-level cryptozoology program in the world.

Her on-going research project on jaguarundis started as a part of the Cryptozoology course taught by Scott Marlowe at Florida Keys Community College. Aside from all that, and being a wife and devoted mother of three sons, she paints and has showed her artwork at a local gallery. Upon completion of Mr. Marlowe's cryptozoology course at FKCC, Lisa along with the inaugural Cryptozoology class, received honors recognition by the American Primate Conservation Alliance with their Cryptozoology Student of the Year award for 2005
We will be discussing the "Skunk Ape" during our first half hour followed by a discussion on the "Jaguarundi", with the founder of the world's first Cryptozoological College Course and with one of his students.
