Craig maybe you can answer this question for me in relation to this section of the report. With no disrespect at all, why didn't they get out of thier tents? I would be worried about the dog especially if razorbacks are known to be in the area. It could have been a hog.

They found a strong flashlight and got up on their knees, facing in the direction of the ongoing growls. Shining the light through the mosquito netting of the tent’s sloped roof, Colyer tried to wake Street, sleeping just a few feet away inside his one-man tent, but got no response. Colyer and Higgins scanned the woods with the flashlight, but they couldn’t see much past the vegetation ringing the camp.

At that time, Hestand awoke to the loud strange growls. Like Colyer and Higgins, he initially believed he was hearing two different animals. Hestand also thought the sounds were right outside his sleeping quarters.

To the three men, the guttural noise appeared to be coming from a single source. It was as if an extremely large animal, or at least one capable of generating a huge vocal racket, was producing sound as it both exhaled and inhaled, because the sound was continuous. The sound varied in quality, alternately changing from a very low-pitched rumbling roaring growl to a slightly higher-pitched sound incorporating a sort of gasping wheeze.
ecwool
As it was not involving myself, I would have no way of answering for them. I was several hundreds of miles away, with the film crewing working in another location.
Maheekat
Thanks, got it.

Interesting report nonetheless. Glad to see that they ditched the faulty equipment for stuff thats probably more reliable and appropriate for what they are doing.

Actually, not too long after the sounds died down, Alton did go out for a bathroom break, but we decided not to put that in the report. Whatever it was, was gone by the time he went out there. Besides, we were so exhausted, having had perhaps 4 hours of sleep in the previous 72 hours, that we were pretty much worthless at that point.

Oh, and it was definitely not a hog. No hog is capable of making those ungodly sounds.
billgreen2005bigfoot
hi texas tracker good morning thanks for informative reply. i would like to hear about your sasquatch encounter. thanks bill smile.gif please keep in touch ok.

Pooped is an understatement. cool.gif

We now have a link in the report to some comparable sounds that Alton dug out. They are of a black howler monkey.

The sounds are incredibly close to what we heard.

What I heard had some of that in it but faster, then mix in a scream with gibberish talking and almost harmonies from high pitch to low guttural with some type of weird hair-ball noise near the end. About 5-9 sec. So loud that my bones felt it. Then I heard the exact same noise about an hour later 1/2 mile away. The first scream seemed to be about 20 ft. away. Thought I was going to die.

Yeah,

I'd be interested to hear of anything recent, especially in the Red River area (I know that's being a little generic as it depends on where along the red river you are talking about).

I enjoyed the cartoons from San Antonio. These ignorant media fools really need to buy a clue, don't they. I really shouldn't retort so harshly.

Discojelly
Greetings all! I am going to put this post as an introduction about me and my background on Bigfoot investigation, including my first visual sighting...
I have always been interested in Bigfoots most of my life but it wasnt til I started researching it on the web about 2 years ago that i learned of them being here in TX as well. Which made sense cause a friend in highschool had a sighting at night out where he lived by the Red River/lake Texoma area. My life went from novice web researcher to full on field researcher when I discovered a VERY well made tree structure one morning at the Southern side of Lake Ray Roberts. I will be posting pics of some of the things i have found and photographed there very soon for you all to see sometime soon. I have thought about not saying where my BF research has taken place ..however, i know now that others here in TX that share my passion in documenting these animals will be able to help me, which is a nice cause for the first 5 months that i was out there i had to NOT spend much time in the woods by myself. As said I spent from July to Oct photographing tree twists and shelters and at one point ....got to hear my first WHHOOP call for myself. Hearing THAT made me a believer. Now for my sighting, I live currently north of the Dallas area bout an hour, situated between Gainesville and Sherman. We live on 11 acres which the back part past our pasture is heavily wooded, with more wooded/pasture land owned by neighbors behind us and next door. One morning i decided to go out to my woods to do some forrest photography and started to see some stuff that thought looked familiar from Ray Roberts Lake. Then came the wood knocks from the wooded area next door to us...after examining the area from my fence line looking at the woods I could here it, just not see anything being there is a 100 yards across the pasture next to us to the woods. At the time i gave up but that night..."something" came up to our house which i could here outside in the front cause of all the leaves in the front lawn. I remember seeing 2 big silowettes from out of my window go from left to right and block out the front neighbors' lights as they moved. Mostly it look like shoulders and heads of someone really big. I decided after that to head out the back get in my car and head to the metroplex to remain with my girlfriend the rest of the night.
The next day is when i had my first sighting. Upon returning, i examined the front but found nothing. So I took a stroll out to our pasture along the fence line back to where I was looking for where the wood knocks were coming from. I got to tree out in our pasture and look across the fence line and spotting what first looked like a reddish colored cow all by itself in a lightly wooded gully near the dense tree line. Total distance probably 200 yards or a little more. However this time i brought my binoculars with me. I looked and from what i could see....was what looked like a huge Orangatang crouched over trying to hide in the weeds and shrubs. It kept rocking back and fourth and shifted to look at me while still crouched. I simply looke in amazment cause i really didnt expect them to be somewhat out of the deep woods. It kept leaning left and right to peek out from a tree and bush that it hid behind. After a few seconds of this, it seemed bothered and "rose up" on two feet and walked ...using that fully fluid skier motion of movement, a few more feet over closer to the woods. I have NEVER seen an animal move like that before! Even though i couldnt make out close detail with the binoculars, i could see hair, muscles, ect moving with the body as it walked. It sat back down and i then noticed another sitting behind it! It seemed that they both just sat there and watched me as i watched them. Honestly I was just fascinated to stand there and watch them. The amazing thing is that they both never really bolted for the woods....in fact every few seconds the one in front would lean back and the one in back one lean over and they would touch noses or something and it looked as if they were talking amongst themselves about me watching them. The whole thing seemed like an episode of Discovery channel one primates and their ways...lol. I watched for about 5 or 7 mins then unfortunantly I had to help my dad who is a bit older to do some digging around the house. I wanted to watch more..but I just couldnt. I knew he wouldnt understand if i told him. And i know they would have been gone if i went to get him. Still kick myself for not staying longer. But after that...i knew it wasnt just evidence that made me believe in Bigfoots...what i saw was 2 real live animals interacting with eachother. I hope to see them again one day.

So, there it is...thats my story. Questions and comments welcome.
Sorry for all the text..but i have wanted to post this experience somewhere and this forum is probably the only place that others can somewhat relate to what i've seen.

I havent seen or heard any activity around here in a while. About a month ago, my parents told me about a large grass fire and firetrucks that had to come to the back of our neighbors property to put it out. When i was using binoculars the other day to scout out the sighting area, i could see lots of black charred grass where the fire had spread to. Personally i believe this event caused them to hi-tail it to another area, possibly to the property across the road from us..cause its ALOT of wooded land. Unless they left for good. I'll keep my eye out!
I know that i may need help in the months to come from other researchers from TX at the Lake Ray Roberts sight. I think i actually have it pinpointed on the vicinity in which they are. And i ALWAYS seem to get a reaction from them or can hear movement whenever i go to that area.

If ANY of you from the Dallas or north TX area in joining me out there please email me at : courtsg@gmail.com
