I was at the East Coast Bigfoot Conference this weekend and had the chance to see the video taken by Scott Herriot near the mouth of the Klamath River up on a rugged densely vegatated hillside. It shows what appears to be a darkened sasquatch face with glowing eyes. Its really intriguiing and it too bad no enhancement has been done on the video. Has anyone had a good look at the video? I was wondering if anybody had any opinions?

Only opinion I have is I wish I could have gone. I was going to go but wound up being out of town with my husband.

Sounds interesting, has anybody got any more info on this video?

There are several threads about it in existence here.

I used my Sat. afternoon when the power was out to watch this and Scott's video "Journey to Squatchdom" on my lap top. I hadn't really noticed the big eyes before as they are staring out of the bushes. That freaked me out!

Check out these threads on the videos:

I take it that this is PPV.

What really fascinated me about this video and encounter was the way that the two human individuals could walk right up on the sasquatch nest and that the sasquatch would stand its ground without bugging out and leaving the area. Scott said during his talk that they they made no attempt to be stealthy and were in fact being noisy. They were within 40 ft. of the nest when they saw the animal's eyes. I always had it in my mind that if I was to come upon an inhabited sasquatch nest, that the the sasquatch would go tearing out of there in the opposite direction. In this case, that did not happen.

While we were heading up the hill we made no strong attempt to remain super quiet (like a hunter inching up on potential prey)...we were heading up the hill to get to a series of old logging roads which we felt might have some footprint evidence (the sighting with the two kids had happened a few weeks earlier at the base of this particular hill). But we also weren't tromping along or talking loudly (one reason being the steepness of the hill) or being completely careless, soundwise. I would say "moderately quiet" would characterize the journey up the hill.

Thanks for the clarification Scott. It was a great presentation. What was it Rick Noll said he saw in your video? Did he find something new?

ohio_squatcher
bigfootboy
If Im not mistaken, Rick stated that the outline that was drawn on the creatures head in the video was lower, and the head was actually higher. I did not get to talk to Scott or Rick about the video. I too would love to see this. I did enjoy the intruiging video that Rick showed at the end of his presentation. That still leaves me baffled as to what it was swining in the tree, and the large bipedal individual walking below. Very interesting stuff!!!

Hard to say for sure what it is Rick spotted, but it was certainly freaky. He showed me on his laptop, in frame by frame motion, what might, and I repeat, "might" be the white-headed figure in the same footage that the eyes are seen...the object in question is just above where the eyes are. I'm gonna check it out again here at home and take a really hard and close look. Rick, if you read this, feel free to post any images from your computer.

Just ordered my copy of the combined dvd and looking forward to seeing it. I have seen nothing but good reviews and I am excited!

Actually, it was the eyes footage Rick was referring to. More detail two posts up.

new_lmaosmiley.gif Sounds like I need to pick up this DVD. I'm really curious to see this footage.
ohio_squatcher
Scott,
Did you take any photos of the nest when you later returned to the scene and found the location abandoned?

There is some Hi-8 video somewhere, amongst the vast rubble that is my apartment, where footage of the approx. 25 ft. X 15 ft. nest-like matted down vegetation is shown. Someday, I hope to find it.

I just ordered it. I'll be waiting patiently. new_whistle.gif

Yes, I see what Rick may be talking about directly above the eyes. Now isn't that just freaky? Also, off to the left of the eyes (right side looking at the film), next to the edge of the shot, there appears to be yet another set of eyes, only smaller.

Or, maybe I'm just loopy and seeing things.

Isnt the same footage available on the A&E documentary on Bigfoot? Thanks Scott for clarifying the scene. I thought he was talking about the head, shoulder and arm scene where the animal moves its head from side to side. Definately worth further evaluation.

Maybe the Sas. was protecting some infants.

When and where was this footage made?

I thought I had the DVD in question here and I guess I don't and I don't know what happened to that one screen shot I made at the conference to show you Scott.
Saskwatcher
Scott,
You going to TEXAS next month ?
Yetifan
Hope to Saskwatcher. I should know within a week and a half. If I end up going, I'll be the guy getting hit over the head with several footprint casts simultaneously.

I hope you won't be going out on the boat with any of "those" people! unsure.gif icon_stressed.gif

I remember seeing (actually my brother saw it first) what really appeared to be a very scary face staring back at the camera. It seemed that the show was not really very helpful in pinpointing the face and maybe it even made it more difficult to find the face in the background. Now I know what to look for when I view the film and it always gives me the creeps. It is hard to be positive but it sure doesn't seem to be a blobsquatch. Scott, it would be very interesting to have you verify the face in a frame.

Got my dvd today wink.gif . Thanks, Scott popcorn2.gif

OMG icon_really_happy_guy.gif :rotflmao:

This dvd is a riot! I have already watched it twice...

Yeti Fan, I do have one question...
Near the beginning of "Squatchin" there is a brief filmclip of what appears to be a BF walking into the woods. All you can see is a broad, hairy back. Can you tell me where this clip came from? I have never seen it before...

Thanks for the kind words. smile.gif

That is actually a relatively poor copy of a portion of the Patterson film. Mrs. Patterson and Eric Dahinden were kind enough to let me use it at a reduced rate (compared to what they charge for TV usage). Glad you liked the DVD. smile.gif

What if Scott here actually hired Bob Gimlin to sit inside those bushes to be filmed as a Sassquatch?

To hell with childish comic cross-overs folks... let's bleed on this one. LOL!!!

OK, what ever you guys are smokin', either pass it around or put it out. We all know that Scott has the pull in Hollywood to hire Gimlin but, Bob G. has higher standards. icon_really_happy_guy.gif I'm teasin' guys, I hope to see you in Jefferson this year as well as all the faithfuls here.

YETIFAN: I was going to purchase the DVD a while back but I didn't see a safe way to do it via credit card.

If you happen to have a still handy how 'bout posting it on this thread.

I recall the excellent reviews for the DVD and the general story, but I can't remember what the eyes looked like in the video.

I ordered the DVD's on Amazon and got them very quickly I might add. I loved them both. Very funny. icon_really_happy_guy.gif I kept cracking up at the guys protesting the cutting down of trees by using paper signs. Anyway I love the sarcasm and dry humor used in both. This is a must buy for anyone interested in BF but has a sense of humor about the subject. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

I just got my copy of Squatching, and I must say it's very good. popcorn2.gif I've seen it twice in the past two days - it's defiantly one you can watch over and over.

Good job Scott.

P.S. The parts that probably interested me the most were the guy that had the VA YETI Motor home ph34r.gif (very cool) ph34r.gif , and the other guy who talked about loosing a horse to a Bigfoot blink.gif (incredible) blink.gif.

Hello there Yetifan; i have viewed your Journey towwards squatchdom video and squatching DvD many times over the last few years. They allways pick up my sprits when I find myself getting sick and tired of this whole busness. Been looking forward to another one, anything plained?
You remember sending me a copy of your encounter video of Oct 12th, 1992?
A very interesting peice of footage indeed. There is something back in those trees trying to avoid you and Darrel Owen. It"s what that something is thats the question? If it was a sasquatch, the video is a prime example of how close people can come to these creatures in the bush and never know it! I never did ask how you and Darrel first noticed it? Did one of you see it first, or was something heard moving?

I first noticed a darkness, down low, up the hill from us, approximately 40 feet away. When I looked closely, I noticed the eyes reflecting back out of the darkness. We never heard anything during the whole 10+ minute encounter.

Awww sorry! I have had Sammi for more than ten years now, and she is THE greatest dog ever. She is, however, useless as a hound because she is SO laid back that if a BF ever walked up to her, she would just sit motionless and watch it. I have seen her sit quietly while a snake slithered over her feet.

That would actually probably IMPROVE their smell. You know how teenage boys have stinky sneakers. :yuck:
