Part of what bipto said in a post on the MG/Coy thread.Well now its the GCBRO mostly in the Hoaxerbusters forum.Supposedly a BF was shot in the gut,and blood and tissue samples were collected and sent in for analysis.Now the backtracking seems to have begun (if I'm wrong I'll be the first to apaologize).But more and more this seems to have the "earmarks " of yet another hoax.If you're going to speak of your evidence then post it,for all to see and draw their conclusions from otherwise why bother to mention it at all ?This has now drawn on for nearly two months (that I know of) and nothing more seems to be coming of it.Well not exactly nothing ,more of the same old rhetoric thats been seen from similar claims in the past.I just keep seeing this and thinking "here we go again" . I could be wrong but ,its looking like I'm not as of late.The timeframe this has taken alone to verify seems unrealistic.From reading several sites on DNA,and blood analysis,all the tests that could have been performed ,even in spare time alone by a lab should have amounted to near a week.Also in consideration it seems that after finding anomolies or other inconsistencies with known animals,it seems unlikely that it would also remain a "spare time" project for the Lab in question.Opinions/thoughts ?(The original threads on Hoaxerbusters are long gone (and I wish they weren't) as this is the boards second incarnation.)

Just because it is taking longer than what YOU think it should take, doesn't mean they are hoaxing anything.
when you are the one analyzing this material, than you can make judgements as to how long it will take. There could be many factors involved, that we don't know of.
As for the people involved- they are as honest as they come. I doubt long timers in BF research like them would hoax something.
But thats my opinion.

Are you talking about the sample collected by Jim Lansdale? I believe what he has to say, so do other researchers that I fully trust.

Considering the amount of mouth-running that Jim Lansdale has done concerning certain individuals, he should either put up or shut up. Right now it's a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Sounds like it already came back unidentified primate again. We need a body to match all these dna samples to. Until then it really not going to help but we should keep collecting it so that when we do get a body we will have this data from various places where forensic evidence says this animal was here. If I get any remains fedexed to me I will let'ch yall know.

Exactly, Robert.Its an "alleged " shooting.Its possible the "alleged" bigfoot died of its wounds.Its possible the reason they could not recover the "alleged" is that it recovered from its wounds and moved on.And I think I've used my "alleged " quota of the word "alleged " for the day. Sasquatch likes plants that have grown to seed and dried up a bit.
At least that's what a "friend" mentioned when he accidentally let a small garden overgrow before harvesting. When he finally went to check on it, he thought saw a "bear" leaving the opposite side of the field going directly into the forest (about 175 yds away). The tops of 4 of the 9 plants had been freshly broken off and were either taken or eaten. A couple partial footprints were found, but could not be specifically identified as a bear because of pine needles preventing a clean impression. It could have been hikers who decided to take a few plants, but one would expect boot prints with clear heel markings and this isn't really an area one would expect hikers, maybe hunters, but it was summertime, no open seasons.

This area is in northern Idaho, right by the Canadian border. There are no clear-cut hiking trails in the area and to get to this spot you need to be willing to sort of scale up a 60 degree cliffside that was cut out by a glacier.

Love to hear of any similar type experience, the area is within 15 miles of these "bear print" petroglyphs below:

I agree with ya Jim. This does have all the marks of the same old same old. I will give them some credit, they did not fly off the handle like others have in the past, which is usually the death blow to a hoaxers credibility. Maybe we should keep the pressure on? But I am sure everyone has a breaking point and if they are legit, I am sure it is possible to cross that line rather easily. Especially with Landsdales tough guy facade.

I have much hope for the GCBRO's find, but hope is a fleeting and fical emotion. I am miffed at the "yall gonna have to wait." Sounds to much like Mary's crew. I will give Mary some credit here, she pointed out how fast these guys slammed her and her supposed evidence, now they tell everyone to "wait" just like Mary's gang.

Again I am not saying I totally disbelieve the alleged DNA claim. But I wouldnt put any money on it.

I have heard the claim, "Its a primate, it has 48 chromosomes" but no evidence to show even that. I wonder why claim that if you cannot prove it. I mean if you have a Chromosome count from a blood sample, then lets see the paper trail to the test t verify it.

At least they agree that only a body will suffice for evidence still. Because until then, all they have is ape blood.
