Can you find the blob squatch in this photo, either its a artifact from the digital camera or truly something large with black hair. smile.gif
Devious Ape
Umm... You mean the guy with the backpack?

Maybe I'm being dense, but I don't see it. unsure.gif

Several dark shadows around the cliffs....
Josh Willard
Is it the black thing in the upper left hand corner? It's a little below the corner.
David Thomas King
You talking about this? It looks like a bear to me.

I don't see a thing...

Here's an enlargement.
Hitechhunter
It does look like a bear.
bipto
It's a shadow. Without a highres scan, that's all I can say. Without another picture of the same place from the same perspective a few moments before or after this picture, I bet that's all we'll ever be able to say about it.

Well, if you were a real researcher...

Interesting. Could just be a dark shadowed hole showing through the tree to the sky beyond. The smooth bottom edge though seems somewhat unique in the foliage. I guess the lighter swatch going through the middle could be a branch slightly in the foreground or closer to the camera, but the color looks wrong for that.

Maybe. The bottom edge and the blueish hue would strengthen that possibility for sure. But don't black bears have shiny, almost reflective fur? Could the blueish hue be that in your opinion DDA?
Devious Ape
Okay then... Could be a shadow in the shade. Or, sometimes trees have charcoal spots from past fire damage, or lightning strikes. These charcoal patches can really stand out in contrast when all around them is healthy-tree green.

This is my theory.

Theres something there Ill have to go with a bear
