Full Version: A good place to shoot a sasquatch?

Just saw this report. If it's not made up, then it sounds like there is a lot of ongoing squatch activity here very close to human habitat. It sounds like a good spot for a hunter to kill a specimen. OTOH, the exact location has been witheld. This might be because of the witnesses' concert for privacy, or because the report is fake. Or it might be because someone is planning to go out there in an attempt to collect a specimen, and doesn't want the area overrun with other researchers.

An interesting report anyway. I hope that sooner, rather than later, a specimen will be brought in. After reading Grover Krantz's book, i'm pretty much convinced that that specimen will be dead, unfortunately, not somehow tranquilized or trapped.

Cool report. One thing I wish is that they had gotten ahold of the EPA guy doing the owl study.Maybe it still wouldn't be too late to search the records or get ahold of his report to see if he can verify any of the facts of his time there.?.I'd go with someone wanting to keep the exact location to themselves as you noted as a possiblility Robo.To many other things would be verifiable to make a hoax convincing.Don't suppose someone here, lives near there to check out some of the local papers files on reported sightings or other odd occurances ?

Excellent report. However, my forever-skeptical brain caught on the following two bits, which do nothing to detract from the report as a whole:

QUOTE
One, which is sort of a legend, involves a Hispanic woman who lived at or near Capitan, was supposedly kidnapped by a Bigfoot some years ago and finally came home with lots of broken bones - and pregnant. The child grew up "looking funny" (so I was told) and always looking for a fight.

Nice way to cover for a guy who beat up and raped some poor girl. Say that she was kidnapped by a bigfoot. Too bad that one can't be followed further.

In August 1997 the family told me about an Apache man who was at a feast somewhere out on the reservation. He left the clearing where the ceremony was taking place and went to the woods to urinate. As he did so, something allegedly picked him up and flung him about. I am told that this man is big, and about 6'2" tall, but he was tossed around easily and scared to death.

Also a nice story to tell if you're a big, strong guy who happens to get a little plastered at a party and falls down a gully while trying to take a leak. Say a bigfoot tossed you around...

There are alot of places that people will say are "the best" to shoot a Sasquatch. I can name two off hand just in my home province: Mt.Baldy and the abandoned Brazeau Coal Refinery in Nordegg. The only problem with these places are that if you start blazing away the only thing you are going to kill are other humans. The old coal refinery overlooks the town, start shooting up there and some of your rounds are going to hit in the populated areas. On the summit of Mt.Baldy sits a ranger station, if someone where to open fire in that area they would probably only end up killing a tourist, and the rangers would come down the mountain and through your ass into the lockup.

I think that Sasquatch sometimes uses inhabited areas as a shield, if this is true, then they are smarter than the average bear.

Pesonally, i think they are the second most intelligent animal on the North American continent ... we (humans) are first because we gots de inter-net laugh.gif (although i wonder about those alleged internet kiosks out in the wild, in the hollow of old oak trees ... that could be how they keep one step ahead of us all the time ) laugh.gif

yeah, i know the report is old, but i assume the squatches haven't all migrated, unless there was major development in the area or something.
