Lyndon....last Sept. we spent 3 nights in Barron/Rusk County along Perch and Audie Lakes. We scouted a large area around some past sightings. Most of the areas we couldn't get to due to private property signs and closed logging roads. We did alot of driving around at night and did see something cross the road up ahead but it was very foggy that night and we really couldn't see what exactly it was. We did some night trail hiking around our camp area and Blackdogs pup was acting really strange when we started back to camp along this road. He was usually running all over running ahead of us...but then he stopped and would not go any further. He stayed behing us ...it was just weird......lots of deer track around our camp but no other tracks were seen. We set up a couple trail cams too in the woods behing our camp, but no pictures were taken other than of us.....No other trips are planned as of now I don't know if I can get out with the guys this year. I am planning on camping a few BF hot areas myself (hubby too) this summer and hope something happens!!! I know there is a MI trip planned in August way up in the U.P. but this is a 7 hour drive for me and I don't have off enough time this summer to make it up there. So I will scout closer to home. Jackson County near Black River Falls is my main spot where there was a sighting this January. There is a camping area very close to this sighting and I plan on going there.....plus I hear it is a very beautiful campground. I can't wait to get out camping!!!!!!! Sailgirl

Ok Sailgirl. Thanks for that. I just did a google on that area and figured out where it is in WI. Always nice to pinpoint things. I remember the photos that you took from your last trip with Blackdog and Uffda and they looked great. The area looked beautiful. Quite rugged and deep forest in places.

You are lucky that you have areas like that where you can go off and get involved in all this. I wish I was near somewhere like that but I'm not so I have to just read about others going out to those places. sad.gif

Please keep us posted of what you do and where you go on your next trip. Even if nothing happens it'd be nice to see some pictures and see where you head out to. I don't know much about Wisconsin but I'm interested in learning more.

Cheers again! smile.gif

Here is a map of Barron County where there have been multiple sightings since the 1990's. They are marked with a black circle.....

Hey...that looks familiar!

Well this is a map that I made of Wisconsin sightings. I believe most are on here that I am aware of. Some areas have multiple number of sightings. Hopefully this is easy to see. I am not very good with this stuff yet.....so bare with me!!!! new_weirdsmiley.gif (The hot pink squares are the areas of sighting)

SAIL

I can see the pink squares just fine. This kind of map is really helpful.

Thanks for posting it. wink.gif

Here are some visuals of the area of some of the sighting reports.

These are all from the same general area, just shows the varied trees and terrain.

This shows the ridges running between these two swamps.

And a couple more of the swamp, just because I like this spot...

My mother in Law live near Trout Creel in U.P. and its about 30 miles north of the Watersmeet. You can stop by Forest Headquarter just south of the Watersmeet to pick up maps, hiking information and place to stay. Make sure to stop by mystery light and need small scope for close up the light. It look like car's light on the road but scope at least 15 power then you can see the light floating around the road. I saw a black bear across the small road near Bond Falls Flowage. Bond Falls is very beautiful and wildlife. Not much Bigfoot reports in UP is because not many people there also most people around my mother in law are closed mind! I called UP and far north Minnesota is like British Columbia of Midwest. Few mooses in north of UP. Find bigfoot tracks in UP is not easy because most ground are rocks, sand and pines.

Here....maybe this will show up alittle better for you to see.........

That is much better! I couldn't see the purple very well either. Occassionally we take the Wisconsin route back home from Lake Superior (Minnesota), and it just seems a lot more undeveloped on that side of Lake Superior. I think most of us in Minnesota like the idea of living in Wisconsin, but the problem there is not enough jobs to be able to do that. It seems like those in really great areas like this always have to make that trade-off. We went to Kentucky to pick someone up and bring them home - and while we didn't get to see much of Kentucky while we were there - the area was absolutely breath-taking. Our destination was Manchester Kentucky. The mountains were all around and my thought at the time was, if bigfoot/sasquatch isn't there - I would be absolutely shocked. Wisconsin reminds me a little of that. We don't go the Wisconsin route anymore because the last time we did we found the rest areas were a little too primitive. I keep hearing here and there that Wisconsin has a werewolf problem there. Could that possibly be their bigfoot/sasquatch sightings or at least some of them?

Oh! Thank you much for the map! It's wonderful!

As long as I've mentioned rest areas - have there been a lot of sightings at any of the rest areas? They always seem so isolated. When we've stopped at one, we're usually the only ones there - kind of eery.

Just Curious,

Thanks for posting those pics of the terrain and the kind of habitat there is in that area. Much appreciated. It makes things a lot clearer.

Cheers! thumbup.gif
