Howdy folks, I need ya'lls help finding some links to credible sources (BFRO would be a good example) of how people use remote sensing (regular cameras, infrared cameras, motion sensing cameras, arial photos, thermal imaging, etc.) to search for and document information of sasquatch. You may remember that I'm a forestry major. I'm writing a term paper for my Remote Sensing class. My professor was very interested in my topic and said if I write a good paper, he would take it to a Remote Sensing confrence to be displayed. I'm not trying to be lazy, I'm going to be searching for info myself, but I know you guys are a good resource and can point me in the right direction. Specifically, if you guys know of scientist or reasearchers using arial photos to document sasqautch sitings or evidence, that would be awesome. Also, information on how researchers use automatic cameras (what kind of camera they use, why they set them up in certain locations, etc.). I think the theory of how bigfoot might be able to hear the high pitch "buzzing" of automatic cameras would be good information (my professor does too). Thanks just for reading this. swampfox biggrin.gif

It is really shocking to me that so many people with computers on the Internet do not know about google, Or any other search tool. They work really well and will pull up a few hundred at least of any subject you ask of them.

That's funny, when I googled "bigfoot researchers using automatic cameras" the first thing I got was The Psychic Sasquatch and their UFO Connection. dry.gif

Swampfox was asking for help on a specific subject, and I was glad to give it. You didn't have to do it micahn, so don't get bunched up because someone else did.

Thank you all! I will certainly post my paper when the final draft is done in May. Right now, I'm watching "Bigfoot, A&E Ancient Mysteries" (I've seen it at least 20 times). They have a researcher on the video named Peter Burn. He heads a sasquatch research program and I noticed their phone number was 1800BIGFOOT. I called the # and got the answering machine. I'll try them back tomorrow and see if I can get ahold of them; they would be an excellent source. Thanks again for the help!

Asking for referals is not being lazy in research - it's a good practice, and efficient use of time. You may be able to avoid a few dead ends, or re-inventing the wheel.

Take a look at FLIR Systems (www.flir.com). While I doubt that you will find any BF aps on their website, it will give you an equipment perspective - FLIR's stuff is very good, and I've used it.

Good luck with the paper.
