When does big foot wander around?

Does he hibernate in the winter?

It seems like all the BF "tracking" experiences I had that had the most activity were mid-summer late fall. Has anyone else noticed this? Do the possibly migrate to other places when it gets cold in the NW?

Thanks:)

One morning I was working with a crew who was remodeling a farmer’s house. There were 4 hunters in the woods hunting on this farmer’s property. I watched all 4 walk past an old grown up fence line in the middle of a clearing. The hunters were coming from the woods. 2 of the hunters were together and the other 2 were separate. Later I saw the farmer and advised him the hunters didn’t have any luck. He advised they always walk right past the deer and never see them. I asked him to explain and he advised that the deer were in the old fence line and the hunters had walker over the top of the deer going to and from the woods.

We walker to the small grown up area and sure enough it was full of deer.

I have searched 150 acres over for a cow I knew was missing; this was mostly cleared property. After giving up you will sometime later see her back with the herd and a new calf by her side.

This may not explain your question on how BF stay out of sight so good, but animals seem to have the ability to make us humans look rather stupid in their environment.

I agree with what Peppersfarms said. Ive seen deer, particularly white-tailed deer, sucessfully evade humans including seasoned hunters and they do so with the greatest of ease. Bigfoot experiences no problem in the area of human evasion either. Humans invade animals evade. new_lmaosmiley.gif

Most reports seem to point that the most frequent time that they move around is night.

This has been debated a lot. Some say "Yes", some say "No", and some say "Sort of."

Think about food. These are the times of the year that berries, nuts, acorns, etc. are ripe and most abundant. For meat eaters, the prey animals are starting to fatten themselves up for the coming Winter.

I believe that sasquatch "migrates" to lower, or more gentle climate, areas. If you mean "migrate" as in moving south (like birds)... I don't think so. But, do we have any evidence? My beliefs could be all wrong. biggrin.gif

I think there really is no set pattern to the BF's behavior. I think that they travel when and where they want in search of food and mates, regardless of season or time of day/night. Just my opinion. smile.gif

They all go to Florida for the winter, and summer up in North Jersey.

Personally, I'm beginning to believe these animals usually stay in a few selective areas more then travelling about, and stay in these areas the majority of the time, only venturing out upon occassion to other areas for select types of seasonal foods and so forth...

But that's just my personal opinion...

IMO, BF is a nomad, and mainly travels and is active at night. Also, BF must be very good at concealing its activities and migratory pathways. I personally think that if BFs were more residential, there would be more obvious evidence of nests, tracks, waste, etc.

Of course, I'm no expert, an this is just my opinion as well.

Actually, it is MHO that they do not hibernate nor migrate. I think they have an expanded territory, and move around inside its boundries based on food availability and human activity (or lack thereof).

Range perhaps 200 square miles upwards to 1,000 perhaps.

Rob, I've seen an article written by a biologist that argues that point just based on the sighting evidence. It seems the sighting distribution does not support migration.

My Grandmother was a snuff dipping Sasquatch sympathizer. A very gentle one though.
