I know "several" in the scientific community have under taken the study of bf foot print morphology(sp) as well as the study of dermal ridges etc.

From the witness reports I have read over the last several years bf also appears to have a stride which is long even for it's 7-8ft height. Furthermore, he seems able to move with alarming(!) speed....for a biped.

If those two assumptions on my part are correct then my question is.....has anyone in the scientific community attempted to address these issues? The repeated "crossing of a 2 lane road in 3 steps" reports and the "ran away from me with incredible speed" really intrigue me. I'd like to hear what the professionals have to say about that sort of physical capability in a biped....

This is my first post so if this has been covered in the not so distant past I apologise. I did a search....I swear I did! wink.gif

Thanks,

Welcome Rig,

There was a topic a while back on this:

BF's top speed

I am very skeptical that a huge creature like that could move more than 50% faster than a human.

I´ve collected a few stories where the sasquatch was running....like 150 yards in a plowed field on a hillside....the squatch doing it in what a healthy man would do the 100.....i guess that would be about as much as i could accept at the moment....

As for crossing roads in 2 or 3 steps...i´ve read such reports and i´ve interviewed probably a dozen or so folks who have seen them do this. A walking step for a 12 footer would be roughly 6 feet.....3 walking steps would get him across most gravel roads......1 to 2 running steps would most assuredly do the same........

It's all scalable to the Froude Number.
