I was pretty busy with trying to get everything ready to perform at the Festival and didn't get to attend anything else while there. We got a turkey leg, some chow chow and jelly...and a picture with BigFoot but nothing else. Did anyone else on here attend? How were things regarding BigFoot?

I also don't believe having Thom Powell and Mike Hall there adds any legitimacy to anything that you think bigfoot was supposedly doing there. I have read Powell's book and I would only go into the woods with Mike Hall if I was assured that he wasn't carrying a firearm. Pywacket, Exactly what has Mike Hall done? Has he ever shot anyone accidentally? Or, mistakenly discharged a firearm? Or, shot wildly into the woods because he heard something moving? Do you know him? Have you ever.....been in the field with him??? |

I was there, and enjoyed myself. It was rather interesting that the objects found in the rock carnes were not in the same place they were presumed lost ( a trail they hadn't been on prior to being lost as I understand it). So if a person found and returned them, or placed them where they would be found, they also carried them a ways from where they were lost. It's Just odd, and I would be thrilled to have my expensive radio back.
Here's some pics. The cabin I stayed at in Batiest, about a 20 mile trip south of Honobia Some scenery as we drove in. The Conference Hall. During presentations. |

Is that cabin the ones on Glover river? The ones with the big swinging bridge across the river? I think they are owned by the Parsons family...?

I met Mike for the first time at Honobia, and spent some time on the ridge with him, I saw nothing that would indicate the kind of remarks that Pywacket made about him. |

I read a little about that in an earlier post on here. What happened exactly? I wasn't with the people who lost the items or the group that found the rock piles on the trails, so all I have is hearsay about it all. I would have to let the parties involved present the facts about it. Most of what was told to me came from Mike Hall who was part of the discovery team while riding the trails on DO's new Polaris 4 wheel ATV. SY. |

And to answer Pywacket's allegations, I do what few people seem to do anymore, I talked to the source and this was their explanation to the events you keep expounding upon. So why don't we just stick to the subject matter on these threads rather than continually looking for ways to always bring it back to your agenda, Pywacket. I was going to leave this thread to the Honobia Conference discussion, but what the hell, since you brought it up. QUOTE Pywacket certainly skewered his explanation in his favor.
He's right about a research outing set up to take place at Bulletmaker's place. Most of his other statements are not accurate. It was not the MABRC's first expedition. And it definitely was the biggest one at that location. It was the first one, to my knowledge, and the one that nobody wanted me to attend, for sure! When Pywacket made a stink about not being able to go, his reason for being upset was the fact that "He" was a MABRC member and not allowed to go. Then "He" stated that it should not be called an MABRC research outing if he was denied entry. Here is where the organization thinks his grudge began. Pywacket was corrected by administration. The organizations contention was, that since all people at the outing were MABRC members, that makes it an MABRC outing. period! No grudge on my part. If it was a MABRC expedition, why deny any MABRC member from attending? Why have members and then deny them those same privileges that were being allowed to other members? The land was owned privately, so the number of participants was limited to however many the landowner said he would allow. There were only about 6 people attending. What difference would one more person make? ( Pywacket was not the only person denied access and after this expedition, the landowner was encouraged by things and allowed future expeditions to be opened up to all members.) To my knowledge, based upon BulletMaker's statements after I questioned the "Global Director"of the MABRC, I was denied participation because BulletMaker didn't want me there. Gee, I wonder why?! In light of BulletMaker's, statements concerning the hoaxing taking place on his property, it seems like he was right about not wanting me there. Apparently, Pywacket still wanted the title of MABRC expedition removed. When that did not happen, he actively started badmouthing the forum via pm to new members and directing them to other forums, site etc. (now whether or not that was his only complaint, it clearly was the start of his disdain for the MABRC) I never asked for the "title" of MABRC expedition to be removed, and the purpose for my asking why it was called a "MABRC expedition" was rhetorical, in light of the fact that they were denying MABRC members' participation from the expedition. At no time did I ever "actively" badmouth the forum. If I was doing that, I would have been banned long before I was actually banned. I never "actively" badmouthed any of the members, while I was a member. I did actively, in a "Private Message" suggest to another "new MABRC member" that they might like to also check out "other" bigfoot groups that "didn't" always see a bigfoot behind every tree and bush while they we're out in the woods. So the admin caught wind of his slander tactics behind the scenes. It's not for sure if the PM's were intercepted or forwarded from the members he sent them to . But if you look at his comments since that time frame... well he's definitely holding onto a grudge. "Slander tactics"!!!????? I sent one PM to another member. And yes, the "Global Director" reads all of the PM's on the MABRC forum. This was verified by other MABRC admin. It may appear that I am holding a grudge against the MABRC , however that is not the case. The MABRC will receive my "incredulous" inquiries for as long as they continue to post "incredulous" statements on this and other forums. Those are the same "inquiries" that I used to make on their forum, which of course I am not longer allowed to do. (And, those are the same incredulous inquiries that I post to other people that post bullshit on forums. I don't just pick on the MABRC.) Remember, I was the one that was calling BulletMaker's bullshit on that forum in the beginning, and I was the one that was taken to task for it, by certain admin there, because they believed his bullshit. Well, look where that got them? |

I met Mike for the first time at Honobia, and spent some time on the ridge with him, I saw nothing that would indicate the kind of remarks that Pywacket made about him. I have no doubt that Mike is a very nice fellow. However, Mike is more than welcome to come to this forum and truthfully tell us why he is no longer a member of the TBRC, if he wishes to do so. And with that, I will return this thread back to the Honobia Conference discussion. |

Nothing further on who did what to whom. This thread is about the Honobia Bigfoot Conference 2009. Personal disagreements should be just that "personal."

That artwork is fabulous Lu, though it's frickin' scary! Can you imagine hanging that on your wall and then getting up in the middle of the night for a bathroom run or drink of water and meet that scary fanged red eyed beast hanging at eye level. It'd make that bathroom run unnecessary for me. LOL

OK, I know you wanted pics of the actual festival, but here is some of what I have. Mainly family/band photos....but they were at the 2009 Honobia BigFoot Festival. The beautiful little girl with the turkey leg is my daughter, Haleigh and the turkey leg is bigger than she is. The band photos are "Felton Hall and Friends" but we were called that because we couldn't come up with a name. I didn't take any photos of the conference, as I wasn't inside the building, I was onstage. The slide my wife and daughter are going down was just outside the "steel tent". The picture of us being lazy is down at the Music Mountain Manifest after Friday's events were mostly over with. Hope you like...if you want these bigger, I will add the full sized photos...these are the thumbnails.

Just thought I'd share this link on what happened with the rock piles and lost objects. No I'm not saying bigfoot did it, but I would say that it is a strange way for objects to turn back up after being lost.

I attended the Hohobia Conference. I had a very good time too. I arrived just before the storm on Thursday night. I included a few pictures of the area as it ended. The first thing I noticed was the absolute beauty of the area. If I was a Sasquatch I would want to live there!
The conference was exactly what you would expect. I found Scott Nelson’s language presentation to be the most interesting. (He is the guy in the white shirt.) He has spent a lot of time on his research and his theory is quite compelling. He believes that he has isolated a few words such as yes, no and even a name or two. I would recommend listening to his presentation before closing your mind on this theory. Check out 3/17/2009 http://www.blogtalkradio.com/Bigfoot_Quest I just found this link. I have not listened to it yet. The second most fascinating aspect of the weekend was the story about the recovered radio and picture. I figured this would be a hot topic here at BFF so I asked Randy to pose for the picture below. I never heard anyone say the structure was built by Sasquatch but given the venue…..Duh! If this is a hoax then in my opinion the hoaxer blew a very good opportunity to perpetrate an even better hoax. Instead of putting the radio and picture in a pile of rocks, hoping someone might find it. I would have turned the radio on and transmitted bi-pedal walking, grunts, whoops…ect. Can you imagine how much more mileage the hoaxer’s would have got from that kind of trick and he could keep the radio too. I guess it just didn’t occur to him. Hmmm…I found a “radio” what can I do with a “radio” to hoax everyone? I know! I will go to another trail and bury it in a pile of rocks. If the right person finds it, he most certainly will make a fool of himself. Now there is a well thought out hoax. If Sasquatch did this! Then this is an important event. We will never know for sure who made the structure so it seems pointless to debate that issue. So what we have is another Bigfoot story with two diametrical opinions. What else is new? One of the most interesting presentations was from Harvey Pratt. (Forensic Artist) He has taken some real messed up faces, made reconstructive drawings and was able to get a positive ID on the victim. He showed several examples of his work. Harvey was able to convince me that his drawings are at least “in the ball park” as he put it. I enclosed one his drawings of Sasquatch. Harvey said this was made just after a close up encounter with eye witness. This is a link to Harvey. http://www.harveypratt.com/store/index.cfm...bigfoot-art.cfm Bob |
