Please rank your emotional reaction to the following 25 pictures with a score from 1 to 10, where one is a low reaction to ten is a high reaction. To participate in the experiment, please respond with a simple string of 25 numbers, something like this:

Define "emotional reaction". I just took a quick look and I'm either cold as a stone, or clinically dead, as I had no discernable 'emotional reaction' that I could tell. Am I supposed to feel fear, hate, embarassment, joy, disgust, horror, sexual attraction, etc. etc.?
Now, if you ask me to rate the latest Sports Illustrated models from 1 - 10 I may be more successful. (happier too) RayG |

Well I guess a smile *is* an emotional response - I just didn't do that either, but then you have to bear in mind that I examine and catalogue thousands of images every month, including a lot of images most people would rather not see, so I guess I get into the habit of switching off a little when I look at computerised images.

Morgoth, in case you are not a computer geek, copy each row into a text file and save as whatever.csv and open in excel. Then sum the columns and divide by rows to get average. something like =SUM(A1:A8)/(ROW()-1) underneath each column |
